“The staff was very kind and the room was okay. My only complaints were there was a very loud train nearby and the floors were really gross. We weren’t able to take our shoes off and when we did fresh out of the shower when we didn’t know, our feet were black. ”

“Comfortable beds are important for me while traveling. This stop didn’t have comfortable beds at all. Not like most hotels, it was springy and very hard. I like firm beds but this was hard and springy - not sure how to explain that. The breakfast was really good. I saw families enjoying themselves with the jacuzzi but the beds for me send it low. “The booking photos are deceiving as it was very old, poor linens, stale smell. Hair on the linens, on the floor, sink and shower, other peoples hair everywhere! I paid the bill as I had too and left. It had a very bad energy and vibe. Like bad things happen in these seedy places. Never again will I hope a deal works out. Pay the extra. Not a healthy place. It makes you feel weird. Maybe a truck driver can gut it out but not the normal everyday person. Dirty in and out! Stay away....unless you...

“Really the only complaint I have is that it was almost impossible to figure out the TV. It would have been very nice just to have a one-page instruction has to how to make it work correctly. The staff couldn't help as he hadn't had much experience with the TVs in the rooms! So there was no way to get any direction.”

“Front desk clerk refused to check us in at 3:49pm, even though we were only 11 minutes early. We argued and she finally agreed. However, she had a, "printer issue," and didn't actually hand us the keys until right at check in time. I suspect the general manager has told staff they are not to check any guest in early. We often spend time in La Grande, but we will not be staying at this Best Western again. A 4:00pm check in time is ridiculous to begin with. Whatever happened to 3:00pm check...
